Summary

Given the nature of our work, we deepen our relationships with our community partners in order to make changes as needed. Many of the potential solutions we have worked on in the past have direct effects on traditionally marginalized communities, so it is important that we invite them to the table from the beginning.

Throughout the process we maintain an ongoing relationship with the community. We want to make sure we’re listening and making decisions based those directly affected by our products

Practices

Partner

With each engagement, teams should select community partners based on the specific needs of the identified use case. These engagements can range simple surveys to more embedded advisors.

Feedback

It’s important to get feedback from the community on the prioritized use cases on an ongoing basis. Establishing and maintaining these channels will build trust with your partners in the community.

Co-Design

Looking for opportunities to co-design benefits and outcomes with affected community members will surface insights your team would otherwise miss as well as extend power to your partners.
